Just finished week at WBS – “Fitting out small boats”. Bob Fuller was the instructor. Learned a few new tricks from him, but this is probably my last time to Maine. Too long a drive and I’m pretty comfortable with my current skillsets for the type of boat building I enjoy (Glued Lapstrake). Additionally, there were more “know-it-alls” than I care to be around.

Shaw and Teeney got my oars done and they are beautiful. Had them put on leather guards – no way could I make anything nearly this nice.

There was an old Peapod (predecessor to my boat). Carvel planked and needing quite a bit of repair work. We were suppose to steam bend some new ribs for it but ran out of time.
