Taking Charlie for walk and found these new animal tracks outside back door. Almost looked like a snake crawling, but since temps are sub-zero, not too likely. Finally saw him/her in late afternoon and it was a Shrew. Had seen these before in wood pile (one actually bit Charlie when he was 6 months old). Not sure how these guys stay alive in this cold, but apparently they don’t hibernate and just burrow through the snow. Never know what you will find in the woods here if you look.
