Sony A6000 55-210mm kit Lens. S=1/250, A=f8, ISO=200, Manual Focus – tripod mounted.
I got this shot from my driveway after reading about camera setting for moon photos. Would have liked to set tripod on my deck but too many trees to get a clear shot. The above camera settings work pretty good, a better telephoto lens would have improved things a little. But for a relatively inexpensive lens ($300) it is not too bad.
Have since purchase an app called PhotoPills and it helps you get perfect Astro and Landscape photo – allows you to use Augmented Reality on smartphone for positional (where you want to be standing at) and how the moon travels as a function of date/time (via swiping). Really an amazing app – believe it cost me $9.99 to purchase.
