Another batch that I was going to make for local NH Craftsman Sale here in Eastman. However; after I did the math I would have been making about $5.00/hr – so just kept them. Luckily, we have a large deck.
I have been making these chairs over the last 30+ years. Old Norm Abrams (New Yankee Workshop) design.
These are the first that I ever had sap leach out under the paint and bubble through. The wood was premium Norther White Pine and paint primer was high end Benjamin Moore. It only happened if they were left in direct sunlight – very strange. Glad I didn’t sell or my reputation would have taken a hit.
Of course, that is Charlie ~ 6 months old here.
