Always wanted to try these – have built solid plug models but these use a totally different technique. Should be fun and low stress. Nice to be retired.

Spent a couple of days modifying some plans I had on hand. After some research, I found you need plan views for each “Lift” you need for model. I’m going to use 3/8″ lifts, so everything had to be rescaled etc… Another challenge was 2 of the plans were “knuckle sided” off-sets, great for building at full size, but a lot of work to get as required for this upcoming class. Will see if I did correctly next summer. As this is done, it’s back to tying some flies!
