This was a great place to go to as a kid – I can still smell the burgers and onions if I think about it. Probably didn’t appreciate racing there as much as I should have. I do recall seeing little rear and mid-engine Indy style cars and they were amazingly fast.
Couple of us kids snuck in there with mini-bikes (1972?) and had a blast racing on the track. We took much more risk back then (no helmets, seat belts, smoking, or worried about the cops) but think we were actually safer than current generation.
Heard place torn down 1985 – believe Westboro is not the same place I grew up in the 70’s.
