Finally got out on the water as winds died down and temps were warm.
Tied probably 25 new flies over the winter, but of course got this guy on the old reliable chartreuse diver. Actually same fly that I used for last fish of 2022 season.
All the bass/pickeral small and sitting/guarding their nest. Should get better in a couple of weeks. Dropped down to six weight and tiny popper and forgot how much fun the smallmouth are on light tackle – would be even better on 4wt.
