Wanted to replace the metal wood rack with something to match house/deck. Started by building a base  to keep wood off ground beginning of summer. Finally got around to finishing design for roof a few days ago. Just keeping everything Pressure treated yellow pine – that stuff is very heavy and a bit difficult working by myself. Luckily some boat building tricks made possible to get a pretty decent build. Not perfect, but not too shabby.  Total cost around $400 LaValleys. Labor maybe 16 hours or so.

Just getting started in June

Bottom Completed – not certain how I want to build up

3/8 inch gaps for airflow around bottom

Done for now – June. Note sloping driveway so variable height bottom legs needed

Working Roof Slope – ended up just using online tool!

Finished – (will stain to match deck next year)

5/4 x 6in PT decking used for roof – really like the look.
