There is always someone in Eastman getting rid of stuff they don’t want. Lisa found a pair of these yesterday and we jumped on them. Very old solid walnut “Bank of England” chairs. In very good shape, the lacquer is a bit rough but I will refinish using a Sam Maloof method probably in the spring. Going to be very nice when done for something that was free. This company went out of business in 1952 so chairs are at least 75 years old. You don’t see construction like this anymore – all bronze screws, crazy heavy, etc….These are by far the most comfortable solid wood chairs I have ever sat in.

Very well know company …
