After struggling to figure out what I wanted to build next, finally decided upon a modified Amesbury Skiff. Wanted to have something that I could take out in the ocean and fish “The Race” and “Isle of Shoals” in relative safety. These boats have long history in New England and are considered very versatile and capable. Only problem is no plans or table of offsets exist. There was a 15 year old article about Lowels Boat Shop that used patterns to build (same patterns they used in 1920’s). Combined this info with some scaled measurements of old pics and came up with new tables.

Going to build glued lapstrake, so lots of drawings and procedures need to be developed over this winter to start when it warms up again. Here are the tables so far. Couple more days and will have some new/better drawings completed.
