Just sitting around the man cave watching the snow again. After a pretty mild winter we are finally getting hammered with snow. Should be another 18 inches today. And, best of all, it is the heavy wet kind that is so much fun to deal with.
All my fly gear is set up and ready to get on the water. Have a separate fly box for Anderson Pond (Pike), another for Eastman/Grafton (Smallmouth/Largemouth) and a common streamer box. Special Pike flies and leaders (both wire and Fluorocarbon) set for Anderson Pond as I intend to catch the big pike I have had my eye on for a while – S/he’s probably 36-inches or so (10 lbs).
Going to put a pedal kayak in Anderson Pond for early season Pike and have the second one at the docks in Eastman as soon as they go in. It is pretty nice having couple of places for quality fishing – literally 100 ft from where I am sitting right now! That tree just north of house is where I have caught a 33-inch pike and have seen much bigger ones hanging about.
