Officially pulled plug on my Penobscot 14 boat. Nailed the templates and molds to garage walls in case I decide at some later point to restart.
Going to make another Peapod (Doug Hylans 15ft Beach Pea). Image above is from my WBS build 2 years ago. I received the plans this morning and figuring out materials etc… Will be much quicker to build than the Penobscot, and since they are “working” boats should be able to take much more abuse than the P14.
Here is a nice 13 ft version using basically same materials I plan to use. (Sapele BS1088 plywood, old growth clear vertical grained Douglas fir)
