Made from Sassafras.
The original sassafras was used for a tongue and groove ceiling project for the house in OH. Bought about 500 board feet (that was the price point) milled up and finished with homemade oil finish (equal parts varnish, linseed oil, and mineral spirits). I think I used one of the “gel” stain/finishes for this storage but not 100% certain on that.
The corners were hand cut dovetails, and the mortises were all through and pinned.
