This is an old picture (click on picture see full size) of Pete Smith and myself with a couple of small tarpon. We caught them while I was in college and living in Florida. Used Mirrorlures in Tomoka State Park canals if I recall correctly. Back then, we had the place to ourselves and rarely saw another fisherman. Don’t recall why we kept them, maybe thought they would be good to eat.

PS – that was my lucky “Bennigans” hat that I lost a few years later in Cape Cod Bay fishing for Bluefish. Had a few unlucky years afterwards.
