No post in awhile – finally finished some half-hull models and got mounted on main entry wall – the fist (Peapod) came out ok and the rest got progressively better as I gained experience carving. Not an expert yet but definitely better than 6 months ago.

Over the winter I plan on lofting a few more historical hulls and will carve them out in the spring. I am having all backing boards exactly alike (mounting locations) so I can just swap any out if looking for new display content.  Backing boards all shellacked CVG Fir, hulls used George Kirby White which was left over from my Beach Pea.

The ones below are all pretty important historical small craft related to New England.

The Completed Fleet (For Now) – BeachPea (Left), FatBoat (Top), Wave – skimming dish (Right), Christmas Wherry (Bottom)

15 ft Christmas Wherry – My best carved one to date.
