Strongback in new config to mount rails ( 2 per side, 1/4 inch thick, 14ft long). Came up with brace/wedging method to keep everything secure. I really dislike working on something that moves around when you plane it. Cutting the rails was exactly like cutting strakes for Beach Pea.

Strongback With Top Off, getting ready to clean up edges

Testing my system – I like solid/stable

Wedges – simple way to solve

My solution – much better than restraining with straps etc.

Wedges worked great – pool noodles can’t be better!

Prepping strips and rail caps for glueing on one of two rails

Funny Kink – but per design requirements

Rail at nose really didn’t want to stay down

Verification of this clamping approach – worked great

Clamps, Tie-Downs, Screws, Duct Tape, plastic wrap – whatever it takes
