I made this desk probably 15 years ago from solid poplar (knew it was going to be painted). Has handcut dovetailed carcass construction, mortises – no screws or nails used.  It  is very large 90 inches width and nice and deep.

This had been sitting in garage for last 5 years as no space in house. Decided that we would put on local Eastman Facebook as “Free Desk” but didn’t get any takers so decided I could use in the new/modified garage shop.  had to cut the top narrower, stack the two carcass’s and some minor router work. Going to put main base on mobile platform so I can just roll it around shop with my hand held power tools now in one place. Think it will work just fine. Kind of glad that nobody wanted it.

Shop is coming around nicely – this section is where I store hand tools (including electrical saws/drills/routers…) All the big machinery is on the opposite wall to make space for cars this winter.
