Finally got the ribs from Jarvis yesterday and beginning to get some work done. Made pattern copies for LHS kids if they decide to pursue. Bought White Pine from Goosebay 6 boards 5/4 x 6 x 14ft. ($320). Really nice and clear stock.
A bit disappointed in Jarvis – not certain what plywood is made from, but not what I’m used to for boatbuilding. It was laser cut, not CNC machined as they stated. On the plus side, it is very accurately toleranced and dry fit was excellent. Need weather to get better before I start milling the strips.
Also received notice from Jarvis yesterday that they will no longer be supporting any Independent Builders (no kits, frames, patterns, parts…). Guess they figured out the real money is custom builds.

Initial Test Fit – Structure (Center Spine, Ribs)

AFT Looking FWD – Rail Caps Added

Cradle Set-up. Will initially build on strong back than switch to these.
